LPH reports 69 new cases of COVID-19

On Sunday Lambton Public Health reported 69 new lab-confirmed cases of COVID-19 as well as 32 resolved cases.

The number of known active infections has increased by 36 to 277.

The local death toll increased by one to 112. Details about the latest death, including age, were not immediately available.

There are six outbreaks, up one from Saturday.

Since the pandemic began in March 2020, there have been 9,133 confirmed cases of the virus in Sarnia-Lambton and 8,744 cases deemed resolved.

Bluewater Health reported 21 COVID-positive patients in hospital, down from 24, three in intensive care.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
