Sluggish start for building activity in Sarnia

It was a slow start to the year for building activity in Sarnia.

City hall issued a total of 28 permits in January with a combined value of just over $4.8 million, compared to just under $11 million in the same month in 2021.

The largest permit of $700,000 was for a dwelling at 191 Nicholas St.

There were eight permits issued for single-family homes in Sarnia last month, that's down from 18 in January last year.
