Man rescued from grain silo (GALLERY)

An individual had to be rescued after falling into a grain silo in Wyoming.

At around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, the Petrolia and North Enniskillen Fire Department along with members of the Tactical Rescue Team, responded to a person trapped inside a large grain bin at a farm on Churchill Line.

Fire Chief Jay Arns said the man was working on the empty silo at the time when he fell inside.

With the use of a rope system, firefighters were able to remove the individual safely and without injury.

Arns said the fire department trains for these types of rescues regularly, however rope or high angle rescues are a rare occurrence in this area.
