Sarnia hair stylist wins big with Instant Crossword game

A hair stylist from Sarnia is celebrating after winning the $100,000 top prize in the OLG's Instant Crossword Tripler game.

In a news release issued Thursday, Hollie Di Bona, 32, said she is a regular lottery player and loves instant games.

"I played my ticket in my car while on my lunch break," she shared while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up her winnings. "I realized I won something but wasn’t sure how much until I scanned the ticket using the OLG App and saw $100,000!"

Di Bona said she couldn’t believe what she was seeing. "I was shocked staring at my phone. It feels really great to win this money – a blessing after the way COVID hit my livelihood."

She said she plans to make some little dreams of hers come true. "I’ll travel, invest for a house and treat myself to a guitar. This win opens some doors for me," she smiled.

The winning ticket was purchased at Esso on London Line in Sarnia.
