Active COVID cases down to 153

Lambton Public Health reported 22 new lab confirmed cases of COVID-19 Friday.

Since the start of the pandemic, there have been 9,582 confirmed cases of the virus locally.

The health unit also reported 32 more resolved cases up to 9,307, lowering the number of known active cases by 10 to 153. On January 10, Lambton Public Health was reporting 1,493 active infections.

There are four active outbreaks, unchanged from Thursday.

There are nine COVID-positive patients at Bluewater Health, down from 12. There are currently zero positive patients in the hospital's intensive care unit.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
