Lambton Public Health reports two COVID-related deaths

Lambton Public Health has reported two more deaths related to COVID-19.

The health unit said both individuals died in hospital, one was in their 60s and another was in their 70s. Lambton Public Health has reported a total of 124 deaths.

In its daily update, the health unit also reported 25 new lab-confirmed cases of the virus and 27 resolved cases. There are 149 known active cases

There have been a total of 9,607 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the region, since the start of the pandemic. There have been a total of 9,334 resolved cases.

The number of active outbreaks remains unchanged at four.

Bluewater Health reported eight COVID-positive patients in hospital. There are no COVID patients in intensive care locally.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
