OPP stop and charge a Lambton truck driver

Officers with the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Lambton County Detachment stopped a large quarry truck reportedly driving in violation of the Highway Traffic Act (HTA) on Saturday evening.

Police said the truck was on Egremont Road in Warwick Township when the driver was arrested.

The OPP determined that the same individual was involved in the previous blockade of Highway 402, which is still being investigated.

The 45-year-old driver from Lambton County been charged with multiple criminal code and HTA offences including mischief over $5000.

The man is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice located in Sarnia at a later date.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
