Suspect sought in Sarnia arson investigation (VIDEO)

Sarnia police have released surveillance video of a suspect, wanted in connection to an arson investigation in the 1200 block of Confederation Street.

On February 21, at around 1:45 a.m., the suspect can be seen smashing the front door window with a wrench and then entering a business with a jug of suspected accelerant.

Seconds later, the entrance becomes engulfed in flames, and the suspect is seen scrambling to escape.

Police said they were last seen heading northbound, on foot, toward Confederation Street near the Howard Watson Nature Trail.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
