Suspects sought after shots fired on Kathleen Ave.

Sarnia police are looking for two suspects after shots were fired in the city's south end.

Just before midnight Wednesday, officers responded to a weapons call in the area of Kathleen Avenue and Walnut Avenue.

Police said a black Ford Focus was parked on the roadway, and the victim believed the occupants were watching him and his family.

When the victim approached the vehicle, the suspects drove off but returned a short time later. Police said the victim followed the suspect vehicle in his truck, and it's alleged they shone a laser pointer at him.

The suspects were tracked to the dead end on Kathleen Avenue, where the suspect in the passenger's seat allegedly fired four to five shots towards the victim’s truck.

The victim responded by ramming the suspect vehicle with his truck and then attempted to continue following the suspects, but lost the vehicle on Indian Road.

The suspects in this case are both described as white males, one was wearing a toque.

No injuries were reported, and only minor damage was done to the victim's truck.

The investigation continues. Anyone with information is asked to call the Sarnia Police Service's Criminal Investigation Division at 519-344-8861 ext. 5300 or Sarnia-Lambton Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
