UPDATE: Freedom Convoy heads through Sarnia area

A long line of vehicles took part in another Freedom Convoy demonstration in Sarnia and Point Edward Saturday.

The scheduled route began around the Blue Water Bridge at 11 a.m. before travelling towards Michigan Avenue to Venetian Boulevard, then along Front Street in downtown Sarnia.

The convoy was then set to travel through the city along Wellington Street, Murphy Road, London Road, Lambton Mall Road, Barclay Drive, Quinn Drive and Exmouth Street.

The demonstration arrived at Sarnia City Hall at noon.

Motorists were being advised to prepare for traffic delays.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
