Suspect arrested following early morning break in

A Sarnia man is facing charges after a business in the Northgate Plaza was broken into with a crowbar at around 1:35 a.m. Monday.

Sarnia police said once inside, the suspect shattered a glass display, but dropped the items he had picked up and fled on a bicycle.

About two hours later, police found the suspect at the Eastland Plaza on Indian Road, and arrested him without incident.

A 30-year-old is charged with break and enter and mischief under $5,000.

The accused was being held pending a bail hearing.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
