Imperial activates sirens as precautionary measure

Imperial Oil has given the all-clear after sirens sounded Tuesday afternoon.

The Sarnia site activated its sirens at around 3 p.m.

In an update provided shortly after, the company said a hydrocarbon release was isolated in less than ten minutes and the sirens were activated as a precautionary measure.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
