Man charged with impaired after arriving to work

A Kanata man accused of drinking and driving to work in Lambton County late Monday afternoon, has been charged with impaired.

At around 5:30 p.m., OPP were called about a possible impaired driver arriving to a workplace on Petrolia Line.

Police said after speaking with the suspect, it became apparent he had consumed alcohol and was displaying signs of impairment.

Officers then took the 49-year-old man to the Lambton OPP detachment where he provided two breath samples above the legal limit.

The accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
