UPDATE: Freezing rain warning ends

Motorists were being advised to look out for icy and slippery roads Monday.

Environment Canada issued a freezing rain warning for Sarnia-Lambton at around 3:30 a.m., and it was lifted at around 10:45 a.m.

The national weather service said patchy freezing rain Monday morning is expected to transition to rain in the afternoon. Rain will then change to snow, possibly mixed with freezing drizzle.

Roads, highways, parking lots and sidewalks may become icy and slick. We're advised to take extra caution when driving or walking in affected areas.
