Sting's Hill named OHL Player of the Week

Sarnia Sting forward Theo Hill has been named the Ontario Hockey League's Player of the Week, ending March 6, after dishing out nine assists in three home games.

The 19-year-old Hagersville native came close to a team record on Wednesday night, picking up six helpers in a 10-6 win over Saginaw.

His six assists in one game came one shy of the team single game record of seven, set by Charles Sarault on February 22, 2013.

Hill had three more assists in Friday's 6-5 overtime win over Sault Ste. Marie. He was held pointless during Sunday's 5-1 loss against Kitchener but won 16 of 23 faceoffs.

Fellow Sting forward Marko Sikic was also considered for the player of the week honours, putting up two goals and five assists.

Hill is the first Sting player to capture the award since Jordan Kyrou in February 2018.
