Dawn-Euphemia man accused of impaired driving

Provincial police are encouraging residents to report drivers suspected of being impaired while behind the wheel after a call before 9 a.m. on Saturday resulted in the arrest of a 30-year-old man.

Lambton OPP were called about a possible impaired driver on Tile Yard Road at 8:40 a.m.

The driver from Dawn-Euphemia Township was arrested and taken to the Lambton OPP detachment and provided two breath samples above the legal limit.

The accused was charged with operation while impaired and operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).

He was released from police custody with a future court date before the Ontario Court of Justice scheduled for April 25.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
