Catholic school board appoints student trustees

The St. Clair Catholic District School Board has approved two grade 11 students to serve as student trustees for the 2022-2023 term.

St. Patrick's Catholic High School student Annabelle Rayson, founder of the school's justice club and member of the Irish Miracle and Cyclone Aid planning committees, was affirmed as student trustee during the board's meeting on Tuesday.

Joining Rayson is Samantha Lozon, a student at Ursuline College in Chatham. Lozon has been named to the Honour Roll, and received Proficiency Award recognition in both grades nine and 10.

Their term on the board will run from August 2022 to June 2023.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
