Westbound I-94 traffic to be detoured after crossing Blue Water Bridge

Traffic crossing the Blue Water Bridge into Michigan will be detoured through Port Huron this weekend.

The Michigan Department of Transportation said a portion of westbound I-94 will be closed for maintenance.

The interstate will be closed just west of the Blue Water Bridge customs plaza for construction starting at 6 a.m. Saturday.

Traffic on westbound I-94 will be rerouted through the eastbound I-94 business loop to Hancock Street, Pine Grove Avenue, Huron Avenue, Military Street and westbound I-94 business loop.

The construction, which includes paving and bridge repairs, is expected to be completed by 7 a.m. Monday.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
