LPH reports another COVID death

There has been another COVID-19 death in Sarnia-Lambton.

In its update Monday, Lambton Public Health reported the death toll has risen to 134.

An individual in their 40s died in hospital.

The health unit reported 79 new lab confirmed cases since Friday's report, for a total of 10,542 since March 2020.

There are five outbreaks, up from three. The latest two were declared at Vision Nursing Home and Ryan's House in Sarnia.

Bluewater Health is caring for 14 COVID-positive patients at its Sarnia hospital, up from nine reported on Friday.

On its website, the hospital reported that fewer than five positive patients are in the ICU.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
