Charges laid in mischief investigation

A call about suspicious people outside of a business in St. Clair Township has resulted in the arrest of three Sarnia residents and an individual from Windsor.

Lambton OPP said officers were called to a business on St. Clair Parkway, near Bunker Avenue, Sunday night.

A 49-year-old man and a 32-year-old woman, both of Sarnia, were arrested and charged with mischief.

However, the two were not alone. OPP found a vehicle waiting in a different location with two other people inside.

The 26-year-old Sarnia driver was taken to the Middlesex OPP detachment for a drug recognition evaluation and later charged with operation while impaired.

Police said the passenger, a 42-year-old from Windsor, allegedly had an unspecified quantity of suspected fentanyl in their possession. They were charged with possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking and failure to comply with a release order.

The Windsor resident was held in police custody following a bail hearing on Monday.
