'Munch Madness' winner Wagg's has over 30 years serving Sarnia

The title of Sarnia's favourite restaurant 2022 goes to Wagg's Steak and Seafood Restaurant.

The Christina Street restaurant won the second annual Munch Madness with 54 per cent of the vote over another downtown eatery, Bad Dog Sarnia.

The online competition bracket pitted a total of 64 restaurants against each other for the distinction of number one pick among local residents.

Both the first and second place winners have decided to donate their prizes to charity.

A total of $4,500 in advertising with Blackburn Media will be divided among the Canadian Mental Health Association, the Sarnia and District Humane Society, Noelle's Gift, Sarnia-Lambton Crime-Stoppers and the Alzheimer's Society.

Blackburn launched the competition last year to show support for, and profile local businesses during the pandemic.

Giresi's Pizza Factory was crowned the first ever winner of Munch Madness in 2021.
