Search continues for murder suspect

A man facing charges in connection to a homicide investigation linked to Watford is listed as one of Canada's most wanted suspects.

The Bolo Program released its Top 25 list of Canada's most wanted on Tuesday.

Phuong Tan Nguyen (also known as Mike) of Toronto was listed eighth on the list. York Region Police issued a warrant for his arrest after human remains were found at Twin Creeks Landfill and Environmental Center in Watford in October 2021.

Police said Quoc Tran and Kristy Nguyen were victims of a targeted attack in Vaughn. York Region Police told Sarnia News Today that a second body was not recovered and officers are no longer searching the Watford landfill.

Nguyen is wanted on two counts of first degree murder.

Three other suspects listed on the Top 25 list are wanted in connection to Windsor murders.
