Charges laid in Petrolia collision involving pedestrian

Lambton OPP say a pedestrian sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries in Petrolia Friday morning.

Cst. Jamie Bydeley said the individual was taken to hospital after being struck by a vehicle on Petrolia Line at Greenfield Street just after 7:30 a.m.

He said the driver of the vehicle has been charged with failing to yield to a pedestrian.

The Petrolia Fire Department assisted with the cleanup after the collision.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
