Sting General Manager Dylan Seca spoke highly of the 15-year-old.

"Porter is a dynamic forward, with a combination of skill, compete and goal scoring," said Seca in a news release. "We also love his character. He's an outstanding teammate and someone we know will put the work in to become an impressive player in this league for years to come."

In 53 games with the Toronto Jr. Canadiens U16 AAA team this past season, Martone scored 41 goals and added 63 assists for 104 points.

The Sarnia Sting hosted Martone and other prospects from the 2022 Draft Class during the club's Orientation Camp at Progressive Auto Sales Arena Friday and Saturday.
