The results mirrored the official results from Thursday's provincial election which saw Bailey elected to a fifth term -- he received roughly 53 per cent of vote. Stelpstra finished second in the riding with about 24 per cent of the vote.

There were 88 St. Pat's students who voted for Liberal candidate Mark Russell, the Green's Mason Bourdeau received 76 votes, Keith Benn with the New Blues finished fifth with 70 votes, Ontario Party candidate Ian Orchard received 24 votes, and 20 students voted for Carla Olson with the Populist Party. The school said 11 ballots were rejected.
