Impaired driver asleep at the wheel

An alleged impaired driver was found asleep at the wheel on Highway 402.

Lambton OPP were called by concerned residents about an unresponsive driver on the off-ramp near Nauvoo Road, at around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Officers attended the scene and said upon speaking with the driver it was evident they had been consuming alcohol and a roadside screening device was administered. Police said the driver was arrested and breath samples indicated they were over the legal limit.
