OPP give 'shout out' to 100K in a Day organizers

Ontario Provincial Police are recognizing the efforts of two organizers behind a local fundraiser and those who participated in a walk across Lambton County.

The Dave Mounsey Memorial Fund held the 2022 100K in a Day walk last weekend, on June 4. Families of fallen soldiers and first responders walked relay-style from Grand Bend to Corunna.

Two defibrillators were donated along the way in memory of Lloyd Henry Bressette and fallen Sarnia firefighter Graham Emslie. One was donated to Four Winds Community Employment Services at Kettle and Stony Point First Nations and the second was donated to the Corunna Volunteer FireFighters Association.

Twenty-eight families took part in this year's walk.

OPP West Region dedicated its "Saturday Shout Out" to 100K in a Day organizers Patrick Armstrong and Dave Matheson. A series of photos were shared on its Twitter page Saturday morning.
