The first in-person Relay For Life event held in Sarnia since 2019 has raised $60,000.

The all-ages event was held on Saturday at Valley Axe.

However, fundraising will continue through to the end of August. This year's goal is to raise $105,000 to support cancer research and programs, including the Wheels of Hope driving service.

The 2022 relay determination award recipients were Christina Otten Davidson (adult division) and Nathan Knight (youth).

This year's corporate spirit award was given to HUB International.
