Serious injuries in single vehicle crash

One person was airlifted to hospital in a single-vehicle crash late Wednesday night.

Lambton OPP said the crash happened at around 10:45 p.m. on Bentpath Line in Dawn-Euphemia Township.

Police said one occupant sustained serious injuries and was transported to hospital by Ornge air ambulance. A second occupant was also transported to hospital.

Bentpath Line was closed to traffic between Marthaville Road and Tramway Road. The roadway reopened Thursday afternoon after hydro crews repaired equipment and restored power to the area.

The collision is still under investigation.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
