Fire destroys two trailers, investigation ongoing

A fire at a trailer park near Port Franks is under investigation.

Lambton Shores Fire Chief Lawrence Swift said a fire was reported at around 3 a.m. Monday at Pinehurst Trailer Park, located on Willsie Line in Thedford.

"It began in a single trailer but spread to a second and damaged a third," said Swift.

An exact damage estimate is unknown but Swift said it's in excess of $100,000.

No injuries were reported.

"The knockdown was relatively quick. The crews did an excellent job arriving quickly," he said. "All of the fire damage was pretty well done before fire crews arrived on scene."

In total, three fire stations attended the scene.

OPP and the Ontario Fire Marshal's office were notified on Monday and members will be at the scene throughout the day on Tuesday.
