Libro announces student award winners

Five local students have been named recipients of the Libro Credit Union Student Award.

Each year, 34 Ontario youth between the ages of 17 and 25, receive $2,000 toward their post-secondary education.

Sarnia's Brooke Collins, Aurora Bresette from Watford, Arkona resident Rayna Hartle, Audrey Stass of Blenheim and Kylie Weaver from Strathroy are this year's local recipients.

Libro said the students demonstrated outstanding leadership, commitment and service in their local communities.

A celebration is planned Wednesday, July 6 in Alvinston.

Since 2012, Libro has awarded more than $832,000 to over 300 students through its Student Award Program.
