Drugs seized during alleged break-in

Two people accused of breaking into a storage facility in Dawn-Euphemia are also facing charges related to drug trafficking.

Lambton OPP said police were called at 6:50 p.m. Wednesday about a suspicious vehicle on Bentpath Line.

The OPP K9 unit and members of the OPP Emergency Response Team searched the property and arrested two people who were allegedly found inside the building.

During a search, police seized an unspecified quantity of suspected fentanyl, methamphetamine, and hydromorphone.

Provincial police said 27-year-old Erin Magee of Chatham and 54-year-old Jeffrey Graham of St. Thomas were each charged with break and enter and three counts of possession of schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking.

Graham was also charged with failure to comply with a release order.

Charges against the accused have not been proven in court. They were held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
