OPP arrest alleged impaired driver following collision

A 42-year-old Warwick man is accused of driving while impaired after he allegedly crashed a vehicle into a ditch in Middlesex County.

First responders were dispatched to a single-vehicle collision at the intersection of Egremont Drive, near Hickory Drive, in Adelaide Metcalfe, just after 5 p.m. Thursday.

No injuries were reported.

However, the driver was charged with operation while impaired - blood drug concentration and driving while under suspension.

The accused was later released from police custody with a future court date.

Provincial police are reminding residents to report suspicious or suspected impaired drivers at 1-888-310-1122. Those who wish to remain anonymous can call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
