All clear for swimming at local beaches

Heading into the Civic Holiday weekend, no area beaches are posted as unsafe for swimming.

Lambton Public Health says Lake Huron beaches it tests for water quality have all been given the all clear.

The health unit conducts regular testing at Grand Bend, Pinery, Ipperwash, C.J. McEwan, Bright's Grove and Canatara Park beaches.

Reports are available online at www.lambtonpublichealth.ca or by texting the word Beach to 226-909-3003.

Water sampling is not conducted along the St. Clair River.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
