Blood donors needed

The Canadian Blood Services is asking residents to roll up their sleeves.

There is a blood donor clinic on Wednesday at the Dante Club on London Road in Sarnia from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The agency said the number of regular donors has dropped by over 30,000 during the pandemic, resulting in the smallest donor base in a decade.

In order to keep up with demand across the country, the non-profit said over 100,000 new blood donors are needed.

You can book an appointment for the clinic via the GiveBlood App or online at www.blood.ca.

There's also a clinic on Saturday, August 6 at Temple Baptist Church on Quinn Drive.
