Bluewater Health COVID-19 outbreak declared over

A COVID-19 outbreak in Bluewater Health's Cognitively Complex Continuing Care (CCCOG) unit in Sarnia has been declared over.

The hospital said the decision was made in consultation with Lambton Public Health.

Bluewater Health said diligent infection prevention and control measures were key in helping control the outbreak and the hospital is "grateful for the support" of all staff, patients and their families, and the community during this time.

Bluewater Health currently has seven COVID-19 positive patients in its care.

None are in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
