COVID-19 outbreak declared over at Ryan's House

A COVID-19 outbreak declared at a withdrawal management facility in Sarnia nearly two weeks ago has ended.

Bluewater Health, in consultation with Lambton Public Health, declared the outbreak at Ryan's House over on Tuesday. The outbreak at the second-stage withdrawal management facility was announced on August 11, after less than five clients tested positive for the virus.

"Diligent infection prevention and control measures were key in helping control this outbreak," read a media release from the hospital. "Bluewater Health is grateful for the support of the Ryan’s House staff and clients during this time."

As of Tuesday morning, Bluewater Health had four COVID-positive patients in hospital.
