Rotary Club of Bluewaterland honours local baker

A local baker is being recognized for his work in the community.

Global Donuts and Deli Owner Gus Pantazis is being given the Rotary Paul Harris Award for his fundraising effort for the Rotary Club of Sarnia Bluewaterland last year.

Over five days, Pantazis helped raised $7,000 for the organization selling special Rotary donuts.

An award ceremony is planned for 7 a.m. Wednesday at the flag plaza at the Blue Water Bridge.

Also, Rotary donuts are on the menu again Wednesday at Global Donuts and Deli on London Line.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
