Lambton teen charged with impaired following crash

A Lambton County teen is facing impaired driving charges after OPP responded to a collision in Plympton-Wyoming early Sunday morning.

Police were called about a possible impaired driver involved in a single-vehicle crash on Broadway Street at around 5:30 a.m.

Police said while speaking with the driver, it became apparent that he had consumed alcohol and was showing signs of impairment. He was arrested and taken to the Lambton OPP detachment where it's alleged he provided two breath samples above the legal limit.

The 18-year-old from Enniskillen Township, who was uninjured in the crash, was released from custody with a future court date.

Cst. Jamie Bydeley is reminding the public to report suspected impaired drivers by contacting the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or *OPP (677) on a mobile phone.
