LPH reports COVID-related death, five outbreaks

The COVID-19 death toll in Sarnia-Lambton has surpassed 150.

In its weekly update, Lambton Public Health said since the start of the pandemic there have been 13,003 confirmed cases of COVID-19 locally and 151 related deaths.

Lambton Public Health said a man in his 90s died in hospital.

The health unit reported 108 new lab confirmed cases of the virus, increasing the average number of daily cases to 15.

There are five active outbreaks. The latest was declared on Tuesday at Vision Nursing Home in Sarnia.

There are 16 COVID-positive patients at Bluewater Health, fewer than five are in the ICU.
