Three suspects have been arrested, and police have a warrant out for a fourth, after a robbery earlier this month that involved a possible handgun.
Sarnia police said on January 6, the victim was invited inside of a home in the 700 block of Roger Street by two people who were known to him.
Once inside, the victim was confronted by two other males that he knew, and it's alleged one of the suspects struck the victim in the face while two others grabbed onto him. The victim was allegedly forced into the basement while one of the suspects pointed an object against his side and threatened to shoot him.
One of the suspects threatened the victim with a knife, demanding drugs, which he did not have.
The victim had his cell phone, wallet and other items taken from him and, at one point, one of the suspects actually pulled out what appeared to be a handgun.
The suspects returned the wallet, minus the money, and the victim was able to leave without further incident and without any serious injuries.
The following suspects are facing charges:
1) Quentin Abraham Shawnoo, 33, of Kettle Point, faces one count of forcible confinement, four counts of possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to a prohibition order, one count of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm, and robbery using a firearm.
2) Robin Alexander Maness, 42, of Sarnia, faces one count of forcible confinement, one count of assault, one count of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, one count of breach of probation, one count of robbery with a weapon, and one count of uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm. When Maness was arrested he was also found to be in possession of a vehicle that had been stolen and now also faces a charge for possession of stolen property over $5,000.
3) Michael John Dearing, 47, of Sarnia, for one count of forcible confinement.
The fourth accused in this matter is Joshua Allen Spero, 36, of Sarnia, who has not been arrested but is wanted on an outstanding warrant for one count of forcible confinement, and one count of robbery with violence.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Spero is asked to call the Sarnia Police Service at 519-344-8861, extension 0, or Sarnia Lambton Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
