Chamber announces business award winners

The Sarnia-Lambton Chamber of Commerce handed out 12 awards at Friday Night's Outstanding Business Achievement Awards.

Bluewater Power was awarded Business of the Year, the Alzheimer Society was named non-profit of the year, and Laura Persichetti with Royal Arts Healing Academy took home the entrepreneur of the year honours.

The 32nd annual awards gala was the first in-person event since 2019 and it was held at the newly renovated ballroom at the Sunbridge Hotel on Venetian Boulevard.

Other award winners included Doug Krall Farms in the agri-business sector, Pathways Health Centre in the cool place to work category, Dynamic Graffix Signs and More Inc. for business customer service, and Hannah Eroglu from Lambton College for individual customer service.

Cabot Canada was recognized for health, safety and environmental leadership, Bluepoint Public Relations won an award for inclusivity, Lambton College received an award for innovation, Tourism Sarnia-Lambton's Shelley Ambroise was named member of the year, and finally, Amy Cooper with Studio Q Designs was given the young professional award.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
