Complaint leads to arrest of alleged drunk driver

A 48-year-old Dawn-Euphemia woman is facing impaired driving charges after OPP were notified about a suspicious vehicle on Aughrim Line.

Lambton OPP said the driver was stopped on Sunday at around 2:30 p.m.

Police suspected that the driver allegedly consumed alcohol. She was taken to the OPP detachment and provided two breath samples above the legal limit.

As a result, she was charged with operation while impaired and operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).

The accused was released from police custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice at a later date.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
