Sarnia police find fentanyl in cyclist's sock

A Sarnia cyclist faces drug trafficking charges after police found a bag of fentanyl in the man's sock.

Officers stopped the cyclist for a traffic violation at around 5 a.m. Monday.

Police said while speaking with the man, officers noticed a fair sized object protruding from his sock wrapped in a plastic bag.

Police investigated further, located fentanyl and arrested the suspect. A further search located more fentanyl, totaling 20 grams, and a small amount of cocaine.

Terrence Plain, 37, was held for a bail hearing and has subsequently been released.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
