Low-cost movies offered at Victoria Hall

The Town of Petrolia is getting into the Halloween spirit by hosting a trio of movies at Victoria Hall.

Three movies, geared toward different age groups, will be shown on the big screen on Friday, October 28.

Tickets can be purchased at the door 30 minutes prior to each film for $2 each. Popcorn will be available for $2 and water will cost $1.

“This is the start of the return to showing movies in Victoria Hall,” said Director of Marketing, Arts, and Communications Laurissa Ellsworth. “Mark your calendars for the winter months, we will release the schedule soon! Our goal is to provide an opportunity for people of all ages and interests to attend low-cost movies in our community once again.”

The first film Pooh’s Heffalump Hallowe’en Movie will begin at 3 p.m., Tim Burton’s Frankenweenie will be shown at 7 p.m., and The Black Phone starts at 9 p.m.

The final movie is rated 13+ so those under the age of 13 will need to be accompanied by an adult.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
