Sting swoop in for third straight win

The Sarnia Sting's winning streak continues after a 3-1 victory over the Hamilton Bulldogs on Saturday.

The Bulldogs took the lead after Avery Hayes scored on a power play 17:53 into the first period.

The Sting retaliated back with Nolan Burke scoring 18:56 in the first period.

Marko Sikic scored in the second period putting the Sting ahead of the Bulldogs.

Angus MacDonell earned the Sting another goal 18:44 into the third period, putting the Sting ahead 3-1.

The Sting are back home at Progressive Auto Sales Arena on Wednesday, November 2 to take on the Guelph Storm. Puck drop at 7:05 p.m., pregame at 6:30 p.m. on CHOK (103.9FM/1070AM)

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
