Thedford man arrested after Middlesex crash

A 27-year-old Thedford man is accused of impaired driving following a two-vehicle crash in Middlesex Centre.

Middlesex OPP said a vehicle left its lane and crashed with oncoming traffic Saturday morning, at around 6:25 a.m. The collision occurred on Highbury Avenue North near Ilderton Road.

Police said no serious injuries were reported.

An approved screening device was used and the driver was taken to the London police detachment for further tests.

He's been charged with careless driving and operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).

The accused was released and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice at a later date.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
