Sarnia pot shop robbed at knife point, man charged

A Sarnia man accused of robbing a pot shop at knife-point is facing charges.

Sarnia police said at around 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 2, a man entered Sessions Cannabis on Murphy Road, allegedly brandished a knife and demanded products from the clerk before leaving the store on foot.

Police responded to the area and located and arrested the suspect near Wellington Street and East Street before 10 a.m. Police said the 21-year-old was found to be in possession of the stolen items and knife.

Zachary Michael Stone was taken into custody without incident and charged with robbery with a weapon and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose

Police said Stone was held for a bail hearing and subsequently released by the courts. His next court appearance is set for next month.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
