Sting's Burke signs NHL deal with Nashville

The Nashville Predators have signed Sarnia Sting forward Nolan Burke to a three-year, entry-level contract.

Burke, 19, has gotten off to a torrid start through his first 16 games this season, scoring 15 goals including eight on the power play, both OHL highs. Burke is also sixth in points with 24.

The Peterborough native has spent his entire four-year OHL career in Sarnia, recording 55 goals and 41 assists over 137 games played. Burke led the Sting in goals during the 2021-22 season with 34.

The Sting selected Burke with the 79th overall pick of the 2018 OHL draft. He was invited to the Buffalo Sabres prospect challenge earlier this year after not being drafted by an NHL club.
