Drug trafficking charges laid in Thedford bust

Two Thedford men face drug trafficking charges after Lambton OPP helped seize $14,000 worth of drugs and stolen property earlier this month.

Members of the Lambton and Elgin-Middlesex OPP Community Street Crimes Units executed a search warrant at an Anne Street property on Thursday, November 3 and located suspected cocaine, fentanyl, methamphetamine, lorazepam and two items that had been previously reported stolen.

Andrew Bartlett, 45, is charged with four counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, unauthorized possession of a weapon and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.

Shawn Smith, 47, is charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking and two counts of possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000

The suspects have been released and are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice at a later date.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
